This year (2020) was my first time attending the historic Amelia Island Concours d’elegance. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will remain in attendance at future events! There was so much variety in the cars displayed and/or driving around. The main focus was classic / concours level exotics, and I learned a lot. I got to see not one, but two Ferrari 250 GTO Series 1, valued around $70M each! There were a few new model cars there, such as the new Cadillac Escalade, Lotus Evija, McLaren 765lt, and Toyota Supra 4cl. Although events start Friday, we arrived Friday night so I didn’t miss school and attended Sat/Sun for Cars & Coffee and the Concours (Really wish I made it to the auctions on Friday – I missed a Lamborghini Centenario Roadster!) I also had fun meeting with my friends, other photographers, and even got to ride along in a test drive with the all new Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which does 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. I got to learn so much about vintage racecars, and practice photography before all events were shut down due to COVID-19. Attached are some pictures for you to enjoy!
